Kubernetes has optimized our ability to deliver applications to the cloud. But what about network service workloads? Efforts to create next-gen "CNFs" notwithstanding, it's possible to support the existing "V" in NFV on Kubernetes right now using technologies like KubeVirt. But is that all we need? ONAP already has some support for deploying VNFs on Kubernetes, but in this presentation we'll look at how Kubernetes itself can take over most of our orchestration tasks.

We'll do this by a gap analysis: What components do we need to add to Kubernetes in order turn into a virtual network service cloud? We'll see that we're much closer to achieving this goal than you might think.
