Ahmad Khalil

Head of Technology Planning
the head of the Technology Planning, Network Innovation, SDN and Next-Generation Services team. The team’s function is to evaluate and qualify new technologies as well as develop next-generation services across all network layers. Recently, the team is focusing on Network and Service Orchestration/ONAP and Telemetry. In addition, some of the initial work has started around blockchain and the potential impact in service providers’ space.

Prior joining TATA communications, Ahmad was an Associate Professor at the City University of New York (CUNY) where he obtained various grant awards that focused on networking as well as engineering education.

Ahmad received a B.E. degree in mechanical engineering (Lebanese University, 1997), an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering (Ohio University, 2000), a M. Phil. degree in electrical engineering (CUNY, 2002), and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (CUNY, 2005). He is the author of more than 20 published papers in the field of networking in peer reviewed journals and conferences, two book chapters and has three patents applications.
